Frequently Asked Questions
1. ORDER PROCESS AND OPTIONS AVAILABLE:
We are an authorised retailer of the Envelopments stationery range in Ireland and specialise in beautiful wedding invitations and corporate stationery, particularly pocketfold wedding invitations.
At Paper Republic you can purchase either:
1. A Finished product - we do the design, printing and assembly for you.
2. A Self-Assembly product - we do the design and printing and you assemble it yourself, or
3. A DIY product - you purchase the materials from us so you can make your own stationery.
If the shades of colour are important to you, you might first like to purchase a Mini Deck to see each of our 230+ colours and patterns in reality. Mini Decks cost €14.00, which is usually refundable if you place a full order (see Terms & Conditions).
The next step in the process is a design consultation. This involves you emailing us with your basic requirements so that we can consider what shape and size of stationery may best suit your needs. We can then email you an image of some appropriate designs in your preferred colour scheme. We will then send you a quotation for your favourite design, with three price options - a price for Finished, Self Assembly and DIY.
You might like to purchase a sample of your favourite design to see how everything works together in reality. Samples are limited to one per customer and cost €10.00, which is usually refundable if you place a full order (see Terms & Conditions).
If you then proceed to place a full order and choose a Self Assembly or Finished Product, while waiting for your materials to arrive, we will work with you to produce proofs of the wording and formatting of all your cards, emailing, and also posting them, to you for approval. When you sign-off on these we will start printing and, if applicable, assembling your order also.
2. A NOTE ON ASSEMBLY MATERIALS:
Certain adhesives don't work well on our stocks. Wet glues wrinkle the card, glue sticks are not strong enough to make a permanent bond etc. For a really professional finish, I would recommend this applicator. I can calculate the number of rolls of tape (€3.99 per roll) you will need, plus you will need the applicator (€34.99) also as it is a special one. It is best to apply the tape right around the perimeter of each card to be stuck, placing it as close to the edge as possible. It looks far better having all edges of the card stuck down completely, rather than only having portions of the edges stuck down.
Some other double-sided tapes may work also, but try them out first and get yourself a roller dispenser if possible so your heart won't be broken cutting out each length of tape individually!
3. PRICING AND PAYMENT:
Most of our customers pay an average of €5.00-€6.00 per invitation. Prices are not displayed on our website because the price of any product depends on the colours you want that product done in, the quantity of it you require and the EUR/USD exchange rate on the day the quotation is prepared. Also three different prices are available for all products: DIY, Self-Assembly and Finished.
Therefore if you are emailing us about the price of a product, it is useful if you advise us what product you are interested in (or your basic requirements if you are not emailing about any product in particular), the colours you want it done in and the approximate quantity you may require.
Work on your order begins when you pay 50% of your total bill. For Samples and Mini Decks, you can order online. For all other orders, we accept payment by cheque/postal order/bank draft.
4. ORDER TURNAROUND TIME:
All orders, including samples but with the exception of Mini Decks, can take up to 30 days to arrive with you from date of placement of order. Customised runs (custom scoring, drilling etc.) can take longer, as can very large orders.
5. GUEST NAMES AND ADDRESSES:
Guest names can be printed on invitations. Guest addresses/reply address can sometimes be printed on envelopes also, depending on the envelope colour chosen.
The fees are as follows:
Print the guest's address on the Mailing Envelope: €0.55 per invite
Print guest name/s on the Invitation Printed Card/Reply Card/Place Card etc.: €0.49 per invite
Print your address on the Reply Envelope (same address on each envelope): €0.40 per invite
